about

Irish indie-folk songwriter, violinist, guitarist, pianist and producer Niamh Keane bares her soul on her newest single Imprints. Written about the sudden loss of her grandmother, this stirring song was recorded with lots of love and thoughtfulness. The instrumentation weaves a tapestry of sound around the listener, drawing you into its dreamy and rich arrangement.

Keane's original works are delivered with emotional maturity and tenderness that still carries a darker edge, citing Laura Marling and Leonard Cohen among her influences. As a solo act or with her band, Keane thrives at live performances, weaving transporting stories with her unique voice.

lyrics

I’ve been wandering through,
my memory
Finding imprints pressed on me
And the others too, even more so
All connected by you

You know my soul
How can I let go

Tender are the days, I see my
fathers face in the pain that runs through
me, When the waves crash deep, I come
back to you
Even more so now, than I used to

You know my soul
How can I let go
Imprints of you in me
Let them always be deep

Tender are the days, I see my
fathers face in the pain that runs through
me, When the waves crash deep, I come
back to you
Even more so now, than I used to

You know my soul
How can I let go
Imprints of you in me
Let them always be deep
